Johns Island, takes laid back to the next level. As an old farming community with sprawling land and gorgeous oaks, Johns Island feels “rural” without the commute. This island gives Charlestonians a lifestyle that is a bit more quiet while still just a short ride to downtown. Many farms still call Johns Island home and much of our local produce is sourced directly from this island, the largest in South Carolina! If you’ve seen pictures or visited The Angel Oak, than you know about Johns Island. The island has grown quickly over the last 2 decades and now offers a ton of new construction sprinkled in through older farmland and communities. More commercial development is coming to the island which means more shops, restaurants, and places of business! The island is a short drive to Kiawah island which offers a gorgeous public beach. Johns Island is great if you need to stretch your legs a bit, but want to still feel close to “the city.”
